The Cottage Kitchen uses only certified organic vegetables in all of its products sourced locally. Organic Cabbage, Celtic Sea Salt. Sauerkraut is made by a process called lactic acid fermentation. The cabbage is finely shredded, layered with salt, and left to ferment from 4-6 weeks depending on the season and climate temperature during fermentation.
